Future Congresses​

To be a Host Destination

The ICNMD is an annual congress that traditionally takes place in July (exceptions can be made based on availability and destination factors). The goal of the ICNMD is to select congress destinations and venues two years in advance.

The typical bid timeline is as follows:

July – December Official Call for Host Destination Proposals
January Shortlist of 3-4 candidate cities
February – April Interviews and site visits as necessary
May – June Deliberation and voting
July Official announcement of chosen destination

ICNMD 2027 – Chiba, Japan

The 20th International Congress on Neuromuscular Diseases will take place in Chiba, Japan, 6-10 July 2027.
